Who are We ? and What do we do?
My name is Emily Hostetler, I am a self learned and self help beaded jewelry designer. I have been making beaded jewelry for more than six years now, believe it or not it had been a long way for me. Let me share.

I started with as little as few tubes of seed beads which my mother-in-law bought for me as she saw that I needed to have a hobby other than my hubby and daughter, so she brought me to the store and asked me to choose what I would like to do. I thought about my favorite cross-stitches but they were too expensive by the time I gather enough for a project. I didn't want her to spend more than she should.
The beads hanging up on the shelf caught my attention, I have always love beaded stuff even back home in Singapore where I was from, I would love looking at them. I thought now would be a good time to start getting my hands into it. So I chose a few tubes and when home.
I started to search for patterns and ways of how I can get those tubes into good use, that is how it all got started. My journey with this beads had never stop since just got deeper as time goes. I think it might had become some sort of obsession by now. I am sure all beader alike will agree with me when I said "OBSESSION", and I literally mean it.
The truth is as time goes I learn to control my obsessions with beads and anything that have to do with beads, I learned to exercise self-control from time to time. There are times that I will spend long hours into the night working on a project and find myself still awake at 4 am in the morning. I have since learned to quit when I needed to as there are more important thing that I need to attend to than just my beads.
I hope that this website will serve as an encouragement to those who are starting in their new found beads and beaded hobby. In many ways, I hope that many of you will find my pieces a source of inspirations to your own special designs and hope that in the years to come, I can share even more...
